If you ask me who is the most important person in my life, my answer will be my mother. This is not only because she is the one gave my life and takes care of me all the time, but also because she is the one always standing behind me and support me.

My mother is not a very pretty woman, she has dark skin, and her eyes are as big as small peach kernel. She is 1.6 meter tall and she has some small spots in her face. But in my eyes, she is definitely very pretty.

My mother is an accountant, and she is 47 years old now. She divorced my father when I was about seven. So she had to earn money and did house work all by her self. My mother puts my interests on her high priority. She knew that I am fond of singing Peking Opera, so she found a good teacher for me and went with me to the teacher’s home every Tuesday during my primary school period.

Once I was ill and I will vomit everything I have eaten. At first my mother took me to the children hospital to see a doctor. But the medicine that did not work, instead, I also vomited the medicine. So my mother spend all night took care of me and cook some food which is easy to digest for me. Since this did not work, she brought some Chinese medicines which are very expensive for me. And I was cured at last.

There is one incident which I still remember today. Once I sang Peking Opera in a school performance I went back to my classroom happily after my performance. The girls were very happy and also showed their admiration to me. Some of the boys however did not agree because they thought the Peking Opera was out-dated. I was very upset and angry when I went back home and told my mother.

“There is nothing wrong with you.” She said, “They did not value your performance because they do not really know about Peking Opera, so don’t feel upset and angry with them. You just keep on doing it, because it’s right to do what you really like.”

Don’t mind other people’s views, just do what you like and what you think is right. That’s the lesson she taught me. She always helps me to solve problem and communicates with me. We are very good friends. She also teaches me to be independent so that I can take care of myself. I really thank her for doing so many things for me. It’s her who let me be who I am today.
